Yesterday I met up with a group of gals for lunch at the Inn of the Seventh Ray, a zen outdoor restaurant nestled in Topanga Canyon.  We all came together through our mutual friend SP.  It was neat to have relaxed girl chat and connect at first meeting.  The food was delicious and healthy but, be forewarned, there seems to be a shortage of wait staff.

My favorite dish was dessert (of course) which was this almond milk brulee.  I bet I could make this at home.  Anyone want to be my taste tester?

I took my hippie head chain for a test run and I think it worked well for Topanga Canyon and, later, Venice Beach.  When I walked down to the water to check the waves, I had an earful of colorful phrases describing my hair and head chain -- all positive, at least!

PS Isn't this an interesting dichotomy pictured here at Rose and Lincoln in Venice?  Whole Foods neighboring the 99 Cents Store...

If anything you should try to be less of a hippie, Esther. They are disgraceful people.
