I met up with photographer Christopher Taylor last Friday to shoot at the Venice Breakwater. Although the lighting was nice, the wind never quite calmed down and the waves stayed in a funk. I'm still trying to get used to surfing a single fin log and here are a couple examples of me still trying to figure things out:

Here, I'm not getting far enough back on the tail to throw the turn.

And here - I'm not exactly sure - but I think I was trying to kick out (haha) and in that case, I should have used my shoulders more (and probably another case of not getting far enough back on the tail).
It's definitely really helpful to see the photos from this session to correct some of the mistakes I'm making with this new style of board. I'm looking forward to shooting more with Chris in the near future!
