I hope everyone had a lovely, lovely Easter.  Mine was pretty hectic but beautiful nonetheless.  I caught some sunrise Malibu action, attended the 8:30am service at Oasis Christian Center, brunched at Cafe Bizou, golfed a solid 19 holes (couldn't make it through the full 27 at our club), and dined at Farfalla in Westlake Village.  I'm exhausted from just recapping the day.

Maybe it's because it was the last thing I remember before crashing out hard last night, but I really loved the waiters' shirts at Farfalla that read:

Heaven is where the police are British, the chefs Italian, the mechanics German, the lovers French and it is all organized by the Swiss.

Hell is where the police are German, the chefs British, the mechanics French, the lovers Swiss and it is all organized by the Italians.

I now know this is the infamous "European Heaven and Hell" quote.  I think what made it even funnier was that my parents and a couple of their friends were going to buy the shirts for their upcoming Europe trip later this month.  Can you picture an adorable foursome of Asians wearing this quote on their backs -- in unison -- wandering the streets of Germany, Switzerland and France?  If anyone cares to sponsor this project, please let me know!
